Dr. Ismail Çiçek was graduated from the Marine Engineering Dept of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 1990. He received his Master of Science diploma in 1995 and Ph.D. in 1999 from the Mechanical Engineering Dept at Texas Tech University. His Ph.D. topic was the “Investigation of a 2 d.o.f Flexible Structure under Random Excitation.”
Dr Cicek has a vast experience in both academia and industry. He served at ITU Marine Engineering Dept between 1999 and 2003 as Assistant Professor and Vice Chair of the Department. He was involved in the development of many national and international programs, including the establishment of the Simulator Center and the International Dual-Diploma Program between the State University of New York and ITU Maritime Faculty.
